Ms. Trotochaud joined the Center for Ethics in July 2000 as a Senior Program Associate in Health Science Ethics.

Working along with Kathy Kinlaw, she supports several projects in the area of health care ethics and end of life care.

Funded by the Harland Foundation, Ms. Trotochaud facilitates a grant to Improve End of Life Care for Children in the state of Georgia. Also in conjunction with the Georgia Collaborative to Improve End of Life Care, she is surveying healthcare professionals in the Georgia on their knowledge, attitudes and practices in the provision of end of life care.

Ms. Trotochaud assists in the work of the Health Care Ethics Consortium of Georgia, as well as serving as a member of its Advisory Board.

She represents the Center for Ethics on the Ethics Committees of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta-Egleston and Grady Health System.

Ms. Trotochaud received her Master of Nursing (Maternal/Infant Nursing) from Emory University.

She has held numerous positions including Staff Nurse, Clinic Coordinator, Nursing Instructor, and Nurse Manager. Prior to coming to the Center for Ethics she was Nurse Manager for the Neonatal Intensive Care Units at Egleston Children's Hospital and at Grady Health System.

She has been associated with the Health Care Ethics Consortium of Georgia since its inception and she served as chair of the Task Force on Futility where she assisted in the writing of a report on the work of the Task Force.
